I
am a mother of two and I know how important it is to stimulate
all areas of my children's development. Yet, being a working
mom I found it difficult to maintain a balance in my children's
activities as we only had a few hours together in a day.
I realized that they spent too much time watching television
and playing electronic games, which can have devastating
effects on their development. I knew that I had to change
the focus, but didn't know how. I tried a variety of activities,
but could not seem to keep their interest for long enough. We
often started something, but they lost interest half way through
most activities. I eventually ran out of ideas!!
Then
we went on a family holiday to the coast and visited a local market
where I found what I had been searching for - Sand Art! The children
could make their own pictures at the market and I was amazed!!
